Entrepreneurial north London pair behind ShakeTastic open 11th store
UK milkshake and smoothie chain ShakeTastic has announced it is opening a new outlet on Barnet High Street along with grand plans for a new training academy and head office.
The brand, which was founded by former school friends Amir Darabi and Josh Kettle, currently has eight stores in north London and has expanded across the capital since opening their first shop in 2009.
As part of the new Barnet store, ShakeTastic have also moved its head offices above the new outlet on the high street and opened a new training academy dubbed the ShakeAcademy.
Commenting on the new opening, Josh said: “The Barnet store offers the perfect solution as we’ve fitted out a fully operational store and a training centre where our staff and franchisees can come and learn everything about what makes ShakeTastic a success.
“This is our biggest step since we started the business and we’re all really excited about the next stage of our growth which will see more UK and international openings as well.”
Co-founder Amir explained how the brand, which also has two stores in Qatar, has identified franchising as a major area of growth for the business and one which the chain would be focusing on in the coming months.
“We’ve come up with a winning formula and we want to share that with franchisee,” Amir added. “The ShakeAcademy shows we care about serving consistently delicious drinks and that we’re investing in developing a super team.”
