Offstone Publishing tees off for inaugural golf day
Offstone Publishing teed off at Close House for its inaugural Golf Day as a thank you to clients, suppliers and friends of the business.
The first ever Offstone Publishing Golf Day took place at the club in Heddon-on-the-Wall, Northumberland, with invitees including leading business owners, directors and entrepreneurs from across the region.
Offstone partner Gary Ramsay said: “We already have experience of hosting hugely successful charity golf days as the publisher of Northern Golfer magazine but this was the first of our own Offstone Publishing Golf Days.
“Offstone has gone from strength-to-strength since we launched in 2010 and we thought the time was right to thank friends of the firm for the part they have played in our success. We’re now looking forward to making this an annual event.”
The Offstone Publishing Golf Day 2016 started with bacon sandwiches before golf on the Close House Filly Course and a meal in the Westwood Suite.
Winners on the day were Gary’s team, made up of Durham County Cricket Club’s Geoff Cook, Durham County Golf Union secretary Jonathan Ward and Michael Foggin of JMF Print.
Offstone was launched in 2010 by business partners Gary Ramsay, a former regional newspaper advertising director, and Jane Pikett, former assistant editor at the Chronicle in Newcastle.
The firm provides services including publishing, public relations, design, brand identity and marketing.
Based in Stocksfield, Northumberland, the company publishes a number of niche consumer and commercial magazines for clients region and nationwide, including Northern Golfer, appetite, Cheers and Lakes & Cumbria Today. Offstone also publishes Contact magazine on behalf of the North East England Chamber of Commerce and NE1 magazine for Newcastle’s Business Improvement District (BID) NE1 Ltd.
