A Close Shave For Eurosafe Solutions’ Helena

Helena Harvey, an employee of work at height specialist Eurosafe Solutions, has had her head shaved to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research.

Reports administrator Helena Braved the Shave whilst also organising a World’s Largest Coffee Morning event on Friday 30th September at Eurosafe Solutions’ premises on Little London Road in aid of the charity, which raised £432.14.

As well as sponsoring Helena, staff at the company raised money by baking cakes and buns which they sold to colleagues and visitors throughout the morning.

Helena Harvey said: “It was a big decision to shave my hair off but I just wanted to do something that would make people think “I want to donate”. My hair only means something to me but the money raised can make a massive difference to people living with cancer – going where it’s needed most. I have had a lot of fantastic support in the run up to the event and would like to thank everyone who has and those that continue to donate money to Macmillan Cancer.”

All proceeds from the event will go towards providing medical, emotional, practical and financial support to those living with cancer around the UK.

John Boyle, Director at Eurosafe Solutions, said: “It was very brave of Helena to decide to have her head shaved and it really inspired everyone to work even harder with their fundraising. The coffee morning was a great success and I would like to thank everyone who supported it.”
