Pennine Home Improvements celebrates its 25,000th customer!

North East Company Pennine Home Improvements has been reflecting on its success this week after a celebration to mark its 25,000th customer.

Tony and Beverley Cuthbert, from Blaydon who had a contemporary orangery built and completed by Pennine Home Improvements this month, were surprised and delighted to receive a bouquet of flowers, champagne and chocolates to enjoy in their new enlarged home. Mrs Beverely Cuthbert said “We’re so pleased with our extra room - it’s given us so much more space and we’re in it all the time! But this celebration is a nice bonus and a total surprise. Nothing like this has ever happened to us before so it’s a lovely treat.”

Pennine Home Improvements specialises in the design and installation of high quality conservatories, orangeries, replacement conservatory roofs as well as double glazing windows and doors throughout the North East.

The business has been owned by parent company Crownfold since 2008. The original business was founded in 1989 and has been run by current Managing Director Graham Auld since 2008.

Pennine now employs 150 staff, has recruited 28 new staff this year and is currently recruiting to fill another six positions to continue its mission to expand and grow 10% year on year. An ambitious 2016 financial goal of £12.6 million profit was well past target by the half way point in June 2016.

Managing Director Graham Auld says: “We’re pleased to have happy customers and to reach 25,000 in 2016 is a major achievement and testament to the hard work and commitment of all our staff.

“Pennine aims to set long-awaited, new standards of service for the home improvement industry and over the last eight years we have shifted our focus to become a totally customer-centric operation.

“For instance we offer customers a unique set of four promises: a 20 year guarantee; an emergency lockout service; a free annual maintenance check and finally the Pennine Price Promise (if a customer can find the same product and service commitment cheaper elsewhere within 15 days, Pennine will refund double the difference). We believe it is this customer orientated approach that now is driving our exceptional sales figures.”

Pennine Home Improvements has four showrooms across the North East, including its flagship showroom in Benton. The brand is also represented in garden centres and home improvement stores throughout the region.
