Accountancy firm Parsons completes £330k purchase of Silkwood Park office in Wakefield

Accountancy firm Parsons has acquired an office building at Silkwood Office Park in Wakefield for £330k.

The Leeds office of property consultancy Knight Frank advised the vendor, Dorset-based NM Pensions Trustees Ltd, on the sale of the 3,258 sq ft building.

Ian Parsons, managing director of Parsons, Chartered Accountants, which is relocating from Wakefield, commented: “We bought the building as our practice is expanding rapidly. We now employ 14 people and we have run out of space for additional staff.

“The building itself is ideally located being two minutes from the M1 and close to the M62 for easy access to our clients in East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and Lancashire. It has 14 parking spaces, which is very useful.

“The modern flexible office space presents the right image for our business as a modern commercial firm of accountants. We are very pleased indeed to be moving into such excellent premises.”

Elizabeth Ridler, partner and office agency specialist at Knight Frank, commented: “This was an excellent deal, which suited all parties.

“It underlines the strength of the location, so close to the hub of Yorkshire’s superb motorway network, and proves that the Yorkshire property market is still strong, despite the post-Brexit uncertainty.”

The Yorkshire-based property consultancy Michael Steel advised the purchaser.
