Nexeon Establishes Base in Asia
Nexeon - the UK company developing advanced silicon materials for next generation rechargeable (Li-ion) batteries - has announced the opening of an office and development laboratory in Japan. Nexeon Japan K.K. is located in Yokohama, closer to many of Nexeon’s development partners and prospective customers in the electronics and automotive sectors.
Nexeon Japan K.K. will focus on customer support, applications engineering and materials and battery R&D. The company is presently recruiting Battery Scientists and Engineers.
The new office and laboratory are situated on the Hakusan High-Tech Park, a complex for advanced technology companies and knowledge-intensive products, providing opportunities for talent and technological exchanges between companies.
“Establishing a base in Asia is very important for Nexeon”, said CEO Dr Scott Brown. “We shall be much closer to several of our key target markets where we already have good relationships with customers - for whom we are developing application specific solutions - and with complementary technology providers.”
An opening ceremony for the new office will take place with invited guests on 15th October.
