Bake-off to raise dough for local hospice
Harrogate-based High Street TV will be feeling the heat as it hosts its very own bake-off to raise vital funds for Saint Michael’s Hospice.
Adding to the pressure for aspiring bakers taking part, Great British Bake Off runner up and Good Housekeeping’s Food Blogger of the year Holly Bell will be judging the team’s baking efforts at the event on Friday 14th October.
The High Street TV team will be competing across three categories; cupcakes, brownies and the Showstopper and everyone is hoping to pick up some baking tips from Holly along the way. Holly is thrilled to be involved and commented: “It’s great to support such a fantastic and worthwhile charity event. It’ll be fun to judge the different categories and I can’t wait to try out some of the showstoppers!”
As patrons for Saint Michael’s, High Street TV is keen to help support the hospice and raise awareness of the fantastic work they do for the local community. Francesca Woodward, marketing director, commented: “The charity is very close to our hearts and we’d like to raise as much money as possible for them.”
Saint Michael’s Hospice helps people affected by terminal illness to live as full a life as possible by providing hospice care in the Harrogate district, as well as offering bereavement services to support friends and family.
The bake-off event will take place at High Street TV’s UK headquarters at Central House, Beckwith Knowle, Harrogate.
