Stourbridge FC youngsters net Avanti sponsorship deal
Bosses at a leading West Midlands kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms retailer are hoping local youngsters can restore some footballing pride in the region after agreeing a deal to sponsor new match day and training kits.
Avanti, which is based in Hayes Lane in Lye, quickly stepped in to sponsor Stourbridge FC’s junior and girls teams, supplying high quality tracksuits, trainings tops and waterproof jackets.
These will be worn by more than 300 young people, ranging from 6 to 16-years old, who are all setting their sights on securing league and cup glory whilst competing against teams from across the Black Country.
“We are very passionate about the communities we operate in and like to give something back to charities, community groups and local schools,” explained Avanti MD Lee Capewell, who has strong links with the people running Stourbridge Town FC.
“All of us love our football and when the opportunity came up to sponsor our local team we jumped at the opportunity. It’s important that we encourage children to keep fit and show them what it’s like to be part of a team where you work together, make friends that last forever and have fun.”
He continued: “No pressure, but we are expecting front row tickets when they make their first appearance at Wembley!”
Stourbridge FC Chairman Andrew Pountney added his support: “Having a big local brand like Avanti on board to offer this kind of support is a real boost for the youngsters who have started their respective seasons very well.”
Avanti is one of the region’s best-known manufacturers and retailers of kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms.
The company is celebrating its 35th year in business in 2016 and has a number of activities planned to mark the anniversary across its network of nine showrooms in the Black Country and Birmingham.
