Taylor Made awarded gold standard for staff engagement

IT services provider Taylor Made Computer Solutions has been recognised for its commitment to staff with a third consecutive gold award from Investors in People (IiP).

The company, based on the Cams Hall Estate in Fareham, Hampshire, retained the coveted accolade despite the introduction of significantly tougher assessment criteria.

Taylor Made was the first company in Hampshire and the first technology company across the South to receive Gold recognition when it was first awarded in 2009, and its status was renewed in 2012.

The latest renewal, which lasts for a further three years, comes after a rigorous assessment procedure which looks at how companies empower staff, recognise and reward good performance and deliver continuous improvement.

Assessors conducted an online survey of Taylor Made’s 120 staff followed by in-depth interviews and research on the company’s policies on training and development.

Investors in People assessor Tracey Pullen said: “A gold award from Investors in People is a sign of excellence and the mark of a great employer – it defines what it takes to lead, support and manage people well for sustainable results.

“This award is a recognition that Taylor Made Computer Solutions is among the national leaders in employee engagement and has created the right environment for increased efficiency, productivity and staff progression.”
