Wilmslow Hotel Launches New Best Western Brand Signage

Managing director of Best Western GB, Les Asplen, joined Tim Rumney, managing director of the Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow, in unveiling the first of the hotel company’s new Best Western brand signs at the south Manchester hotel yesterday.

Strategically located near the Manchester-Cheshire boundary and close to Manchester Airport, the Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow was selected as the launch hotel for the new signage featuring Best Western’s contemporary new logo because of its excellent location, as well as its popularity with business and leisure guests and the recent completion of an extensive Hotel refurbishment project.

By the end of 2017 the signage update will come into effect across all of the group’s 4,100 properties, located in more than 100 countries, including the 267 in Great Britain.

Yesterday’s unveiling marks a new era for the hotel group as it retires its familiar and recognisable logo of over 20 years. Best Western Great Britain’s MD Les Asplen, said: “Over the last few years the Best Western brand has undergone an evolution with bold new identities for its existing brands and the addition of exciting new propositions. We’re delighted to launch the first new signage at Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow, a great ambassador hotel for us. Best Western has never been more appealing - more guests than ever before are recommending us and more hotels and investors are enquiring about joining our brands. It’s an exciting time to be part of Best Western GB, the proud home of the largest collection of independent hotels in the country.”

Managing director of the Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow, Tim Rumney, commented that: “I am delighted that the Hotel was chosen as the first property in the UK to carry the new Best Western brand signage. We have spent the last three years updating and upgrading the Hotel’s facilities with over £3.5 million invested, and have had wonderful feedback from guests. So to be the first hotel chosen for the new brand signage really is a huge honour!”

The four star Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow is located four miles from Manchester Airport and just 10 miles from Manchester city centre. It offers 89 en-suite bedrooms, two function rooms for up to 150 theatre style, is a licensed venue for civil weddings, offers fresh local produce in the AA Rosette award winning One Eighty restaurant, and provides guests with free Wi Fi and on-site car parking.
