Award Winning North East Businesses Team Up
Andrew James, the award-winning online retailer based in Durham has joined forces with pioneering eCommerce agency, Visualsoft, to launch its new website. Andrew James and Visualsoft have both picked up multiple national and regional awards, showcasing their respective industry expertise, and their collaboration brings together two of the fastest growing companies in the North East, emphasising the trademark ambition which has defined both businesses in recent years.
Following years of exceptional growth, Andrew James broke the £20m turnover mark for the second consecutive year in 2015, and took the decision to utilise outsourced capability to ensure it has a cutting edge website in place, ready for its busiest period of the year.
This is already proving to be a very exciting time for Andrew James, not only does it have a new website launching, but it is also working alongside renowned national brands such as Tesco and Daily Mail to develop a significant presence on their sales platforms too – again a sign of its future ambitions.
All of this provides the company with increased exposure and lays the foundations for further growth ahead of a significant relocation of its operations to Seaham next year. Andrew James has just commissioned its new Foxcover distribution centre which will be fully operational for 2017 able to dispatch 28,000 orders per day, and it recently engaged architects for the redevelopment of its new Head Office also based in Seaham.
Keith Roberts, Head of Digital and CRM at Andrew James said, “This is a massive boost for Andrew James - to launch a new website ahead of the Christmas period is an exciting opportunity for the company to end the year on a high. By working with the dynamic team at Visualsoft to achieve this is, again, a great boost for the local economy, making use of local expertise when so many large creative projects end up outside of the North East. Both companies share a passion for delivering customer excellence - this is one of the main reasons we chose to work together on this project. We feel this strong customer focus will be even more apparent once our website is launched, and is all part of our strategy to drive the business forward throughout 2017 and beyond.”
