European shipping giant signs new deal for Liverpool Waters base
Global shipping group CMA-CGM has renewed the tenancy at its Liverpool base with a new lease lasting until 2025.
The French firm, which is the third-largest shipping container group in the world, has operated at Liverpool Waters’ No.12 Princes Dock since it was built in 2005.
CMA-CGM currently occupies more than 27,000 sq ft across two floors at the waterfront offices, which are owned by investment giant Peel Group.
Peel asset manager Liza Marco said: “We are delighted that CMA-CGM has renewed its lease term at Liverpool Waters to 2025.
“Liverpool is one of the world’s great ports and has a rich maritime heritage, so it is encouraging to see global leaders in the maritime sector selecting Liverpool Waters as an office location.”
She continued: “As one of our long-standing tenants, CMA-CGM’s on-going commitment is very important as we continue to grow the number and range of business that choose to base their operations on the waterfront.”
Princes Dock is a hub of business activity within the £5bn Liverpool Waters redevelopment scheme.
CMA-CGM was represented in the new tenancy deal by Liverpool-based commercial property agent Worthington Owen.
