The Botanist announces opening date for new York city centre site
The Botanist is set to open its doors in York on Monday 21st November, marking its 11th UK site to date.
Operated by The New World Trading Company, The Botanist York has created 60 new jobs and is located on Stonegate, in the city centre.
As part of the Mulberry Hall building, the pub and restaurant will be a total of 5000 sq ft., with 80 covers across the ground floor.
The new site will offer a wide range of botanical cocktails including a Plum and Thai Basil Mojito, a Cinnamon and Oregano Old Fashioned alongside world famous beers, ales and a wine list.
In addition, The Botanist’s selection of gins are all locally sourced and handpicked with Yorkshire favourite Masons Dry Yorkshire Gin being the choice for the three Yorkshire sites.
The restaurant offering will feature deli-inspired boards, and a lunch and dinner menu will be served daily, revolving around rotisserie and BBQ style dishes.
Newly appointed general manager, Ciara Appleton Mcdaid will be leading a team of 60 at the York site, all employed locally to the city.
Ciara said: “The Botanist is the ideal place for a lunch catch up with friends, a casual business meeting over drinks or a relaxed dinner with family, and of course the perfect spot to taste the very best botanical cocktails in the city.
“York has such a wide range of bars and restaurant, and thanks to the upcoming launch of The Botanist, myself and the team are so excited to now be part of this amazing York family and community.”
Established in 2012, The Botanist has existing sites in Manchester, Chester, Alderley Edge, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Marlow, Farnham, Knutsford and Sheffield.
