PRN People specialised in placing hospital, ICU, RGN and care home nurses

Chester firms merge to create healthcare recruitment brand Bluestones Medical Nursing

PRN People and Bluestones Medical have merged to create Bluestones Medical Nursing.

The two Chester-based recruitment firms believe the deal will allow them to offer a broader range of services and more roles to candidates across several NHS trusts and private sector medical facilities.

PRN People specialised in placing hospital, ICU (intensive care unit), RGN (registered general nurse) and care home nurses.

Bluestones Medical, meanwhile, provides scrub nurses, ODPs (operating department practitioners), HCAs (healthcare assistants) and first assistants.

Bluestones Medical Nursing MD Elizabeth Hardman said of the new brand: “This is an extremely exciting time for the company.

“Bluestones Medical and Bluestones Medical Nursing are able to offer a wider range of services to candidates and clients than ever before.”

Speaking further, Elizabeth said that candidates and clients will not experience much change in how the business operates, adding: “It’s business as usual for us, our high quality service will remain the same to candidates and clients. If they have any questions we’re on hand to answer them.”

Both Bluestones Medical and Bluestones Medical Nursing now have head offices in Chester, in addition to several satellite offices elsewhere in the UK.

Bluestones Medical’s managing director, Mark Swinnerton, commented: “Bluestones Medical and PRN People have been operating successfully and independently for several years.

“The opportunity to merge came at the right time for both companies, having several offices in different locations will strengthen the coverage of Bluestones Medical and Bluestones Medical Nursing.”
