Francis Kirk Group nominated for family business award
Specialist engineering and distribution company, Francis Kirk Group, based in Denton, Manchester, has been nominated for Family Business of the Year in the EN North West Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2016.
The fifth generation company – which celebrates 150 years in business in 2018 – supplies its customers with a one-stop solution for fasteners, fixings, clothing, cutting tools, personal protective clothing and many more products.
It has been recognised for achievements in the past 12 months, which includes expansion into markets in the Middle East, which looks set to double turnover by the end of 2017.
Francis Kirk Group has established an enviable reputation in the manufacturing, automotive, rail, and construction sectors UK-wide and internationally – with world-renowned self-locking nut Philidas in its stable - and also has a busy trade counter serving the local building trade across Greater Manchester.
The winners of the award will be announced at a ceremony on 3rd November at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa in Knutsford.
Managing Director Tom Kirk said the nomination reflected the firm’s progressive approach to scale, turnover and profitability over many years. “It is great for this team to be recognised, but we only stand on the shoulders of the generations before us who have set the standards of quality, integrity and service that shape the company today.”
The EN North West Entrepreneur of the Year awards is now in its 12th year and is designed to showcase the outstanding contributions that the North West’s business community makes to the regional economy. As well as Family Business, there are 12 other categories represented and over 70 nominated companies hoping for glory on the night.
