Taylor&Emmet trio expands key personal teams

Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP is making three new appointments to enhance the residential property and probate services its provides to local residents.

Two solicitors and a legal assistant have been recruited to strengthen the two areas of work in which the firm is in highest demand.

Lisa Molinari joins Taylor&Emmet’s Banner Cross office to handle general conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages and transfers. She worked previously at Banner Jones in Sheffield and is experienced in high value and complex transactions. Lisa now hopes to further extend her skills, with the assistance of the firm, to become a Notary Public, enabling her to authenticate and certify official documents for use abroad.

Taylor&Emmet’s newest team, contentious probate, is welcoming solicitor, Komal Landa, who will be handling a variety of cases, including disputed wills and Inheritance Act claims. Having served two years at Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield, she is now developing her litigation skills with support from department head, Alex Watkinson. Komal said: “This is an ambitious, growing firm that focuses on the local community and puts client contact at the heart of its operations, which really appealed to me.”

Legal assistant, Oliver Simpson, will be working alongside the general wills and probate specialists at Taylor&Emmet’s Arundel Gate headquarters. He was offered a fulltime contract after securing a work placement during the summer and will now be embarking on part time study to qualify as a solicitor.

Sharna Poxon, Taylor&Emmet’s head of human resources, added: “Due to increasing demand for our residential property and probate services, we are investing in more local staff to maintain our high standards of client care. I would like welcome Lisa, Komal and Oliver to the firm and wish them well in their career development. I’m confident all three have a valuable contribution to make to our continued success.”
