David Wilson Homes celebrates budding artists in Lightcliffe!
Three youngsters from Lightcliffe Academy have been named winners of a David Wilson Homes competition to show off their artwork at its local The Grange development in Lightcliffe. The winning entries from Melissa Hawksworth, Jack Shaw, and Keagen Alice Brear, all 11, will now be displayed in the showhome at the site.
The competition, which encouraged children from the school to celebrate landmarks and historically important places in their local village, now sees their paintings on display for all house hunters visiting its five bedroom Buckingham showhome at The Grange, which offers a contemporary open plan kitchen with breakfast and family areas that open out to the garden through French doors.
Fiona Edmonson, Art Teacher at Lightcliffe Academy, commented:
“We’re thrilled to have been involved with David Wilson Homes and this competition – I’m sure Melissa, Jack and Keagan will be beaming with pride to see their work on display in the new showhome and will be taking their families along to have a look!”
Dan Hardcastle, Sales Manager at David Wilson Homes’ Bluebell Woods development, said:
“We’re always looking for ways to get involved with the local community, so we thought it would be great to show off some of the top class work from Lightcliffe Academy’s pupils at The Grange. All the children put in such hard work and we were overwhelmed with the submissions! It’ll be fantastic to see Melissa’s, Jack’s and Keagan’s work in our showhome for all the village to take a look at.”
Situated in a delightful rural area, the luxurious three, four and five bedroom homes at The Grange offer the perfect idyllic location within a thriving community, benefitting from a distinct countryside feel, while the nearby area boasts a village park, ideal for family walks and summer picnics. Situated in the charming village of Lightcliffe, the local area offers a range of shops, pubs, restaurants, a cricket club and two golf courses close by, along with great local schools just a short walk from the development.
