North Yorkshire animal feed business secures largest ever export contract with Cyprus order

I’Anson Brothers Ltd, the North Yorkshire-based feed business, has commenced the export of animal feed to Cyprus in what is the largest farm feeds export order in the company’s 116 year history.

I’Anson Brothers will supply Cyprus-based RPK Topfeed Solutions with more than 200 tonnes of animal feed by the end of this year.

The animal feed will be used by farmers on the island to feed flocks of milking sheep, with most of the production being used for Halloumi cheese.

Although the majority of I’Anson animal feed is sold in the UK, the business exports under its British Horse Feeds division which ships its Speedi-Beet product to 38 countries worldwide from Australia to the United States.

Chris I’Anson, I’Anson Brothers chairman and managing director, said: “This export order came about through our personal contacts within the industry and our reputation for producing animal feeds of the highest quality.

“It marks another step in the continuing development of the business and we hope it will lead to further orders.

“We are a fourth-generation family business, based in Masham for more than 100 years and we are determined to remain at the forefront of the industry.

“Although our main focus is on servicing our clients in the domestic market we are always looking to identify new market opportunities.”

I’Anson Brothers employs 72 people at its head office and mill in Masham, North Yorkshire.
