Manchester firm all set for UK expansion
Great Grass, a supplier and installer of artificial lawns, is set for UK expansion after being given the green-light to franchise their business model by the British Franchise Association (BFA).
The company, based in Failsworth, is the only artificial grass firm to hold the prestigious BFA accreditation and is now looking for prospective franchise owners across the country.
It comes after months of intense scrutiny for the North East Manchester firm, which as well as having every aspect of the business thoroughly inspected, had to run two year-long pilot schemes to ensure the franchise model was viable and profitable.
And Managing Director Mike Allen, said: “By creating a franchise model, rather than subcontracting, Great Grass is able to ensure that customers throughout the country will receive the same high level of service we pride ourselves on here in Manchester.
“Each franchisee must pass rigorous training to attain our world-class standards. We are so confident in our installation teams that every customer is provided with a Service Level Agreement and a standard 10-year product guarantee.
“Demand for artificial grass is growing at a rate of around 30 per cent year-on-year so we expect huge growth in revenue for us and our franchisees.”
Great Grass was established in 2011 and is the country’s top supplier of artificial grass; working with thousands of residential customers and hundreds of large companies such as MUFC, Nike, MCFC, schools, local councils and many more.
Mike is confident new franchisees will enjoy the same success as those on the pilots.
He said: “By purchasing a Great Grass franchise, we are giving people the opportunity to not only invest in a successful, working business model which achieves an excellent return on investment, but the chance to achieve a better work/life balance.”
The BFA approved franchise model developed by Great Grass means it is open to franchisees of all sizes, from sole traders through to regional teams. The pilot schemes trialled in Manchester and London both grew from one-man projects to multi-team fleet management franchises.
Great Grass is currently franchising by postcode regions. Potential franchisees can register their interest at the Great Grass website and will receive a free prospectus.
