Cohort secures £7m TfL traffic enforcement contract
London tech firm Cohort plc has announced it has secured another 10 year contract with Transport for London (TfL) to continue its support and development of digital traffic and parking enforcement systems.
The orders, which the firm say equate to around £7m, will mean Cohort’s SEA subsidiary will continue to develop and support the transport body’s Digital Traffic Enforcement System (DTES) and get work developing a Parking Enforcement Solution (PES) mobile app.
SEA worked with TfL to develop and release the DTES technology back in 2009, work which brought formerly analogue enforcement into the digital age with GPS-enabled mobile enforcement vehicles and digital video cameras.
Andy Thomis, Chief Executive of Cohort, said: “I am delighted that SEA continues to be involved in this important TfL programme. The addition of the PES system to work with DTES is an exciting development.
“This adds further visibility to our order book, which underpins a significant proportion of revenues for Cohort’s current financial year.”
Founded in 2006, Cohort provides technology services for defence, surveillance and transport markets, through its five subsidiaries.
Its SEA business includes a number of traffic enforcement and review systems under its RoadFLOW product line, and includes clients such as Network Rail.
