Start-ups’ competition for free MediaCityUK office space
#StartMeUp Pitch sets a video challenge for budding entrepreneurs
A new competition to win free office space at MediaCityUK is giving entrants the chance to get their business off to a flying start at Manchester’s prestigious waterfront destination.
The #StartMeUp Pitch, organised by serviced office provider Orega, invites aspiring start-up businesses and entrepreneurs to film and submit a 60-second business pitch.
The public will be invited to vote for the 10 best-shortlisted video pitches online, with the five most popular going forward to a final face-to-face pitch to Orega in March.
Orega’s lucky winner will join an eclectic mix of over 200 businesses at MediaCityUK, Salford Quays, Manchester. They’ll receive their own four-person office in Blue Tower free of charge for six months, alongside dynamic upcoming small businesses and global brands.
Two runners up will each receive flexi-desk coworking packages in The Blue Room at Orega MediaCity for six months.
Suzanne Machray, Head of Marketing at Orega, said: “Our vibrant MediaCityUK offices are the perfect location to give any new business the space it needs to help inspire growth and creativity.
“We’re excited to see who will enter the #StartMeUp Pitch – we’re hoping to discover an amazing up-and-coming business that really deserves a helping hand from Orega.
“There will be plenty of opportunities for publicity along the way thanks to the public voting element of the competition – we want to give Manchester’s aspiring entrepreneurs a good boost whether or not they win one of the prizes.
“So if you think you have what it takes then we’d love to hear from you!”
Full information on how to enter the #StartMeUp Pitch can be found on Orega’s website at https://www.orega.com/startmeup-pitch and prospective competitors can take a virtual tour of Orega MediaCity to see the kind of office space they could win. The closing date for video entries is 15 January 2017.
