Electric String add spark to careers through apprenticeships
An Audio Visual company in Hull specialising in the design and installation of AV systems in the residential, commercial and Marine industries has taken on its first full-time apprentice.
Electric String Ltd, of South Orbital Trading Park, Hedon Road, a leading and award-winning British audio-visual company; with expertise in luxury marine, commercial and high-end residential projects in the UK and overseas, took on Emily Halsey as Office Apprentice as part of a 12 month Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business and Administration through the Learning Skills Partnership.
Managing Director James Ward said: “We’ve gone through a successful growth period and wanted to not only develop our existing team with skilled employees but also provide an apprentice the opportunity to join our team. We’ve been delighted that Emily has chosen to join the team and we’re looking forward to her developing her role within the company”.
Emily will work alongside the office team in Hull assisting with office and administration duties while learning in accordance to the apprentice training framework.
Emily, 16 said: “I’m so glad that I went into an apprenticeship position instead of full time college because I’m a very practical learner, so being thrown in at the deep end was the best way for me to learn.
