Fireplace Experts Blaze Competition with Prestigious Design Award

LONDON-BASED fireplace installers Real Flame have been recognised for their design and installation work at The Ivy Chelsea Garden Restaurant.

They were named as the creators of the Best Commercial Fireplace Project 2016 and awarded the “Most Creative Company 2016 – Europe” by construction magazine BUILD.

Crown Outdoor Ltd MD, Tony Holman – originally tasked with the Ivy Chelsea Garden redevelopment project – approached the 32-year-old company to design a fireplace for the outdoor terrace areas of the renowned restaurant in London. The fireplace installation company were presented with several aims, including creating traditional and realistic fireplaces at many different levels throughout the garden.

Real Flame were also required to complete the work within a week to avoid disrupting the service of the popular restaurant.

Real Flame Showroom manager Louis Boothman said: “With a project as unique as The Ivy Garden Chelsea, our team had to use their creativity and innovation to create something truly fitting for such a prestigious venue.”

“We are extremely proud of the finished result, and it is a testament to the incredible design that we were awarded such an accolade in recognition.

He added: “The project was so successful, the largest retailer of gas log and gas coal fires in Europe has now been tasked with introducing a third gas fire for the next phase of the restaurant’s redevelopment.

“This new installation will allow The Ivy Chelsea Garden Restaurant’s fountain to perform as such throughout the summer, while transforming into a fire during the milder months.”
