TV chef to offer ‘Yorkshire Dining’ experience with new Rothwell restaurant
Leeds’ dining offer is set for a boost this month with the launch of Dill & Bay Restaurant in Rothwell.
The eatery is the brainchild of Simon Jones, who competed on Channel 4’s My Kitchen My Rules with his mum Linda.
Opening its doors following an eight-week refit, Dill & Bay Restaurant will offer some of the popular dishes featured on the show.
Simon and his wife Remmy said they have dreamed of opening their own restaurant for some time. The duo previously ran a supper club in their home.
Simon commented: “We have created an experience that I have named – Yorkshire Dining. It is fine-dining food with a warm Yorkshire welcome and comfortable atmosphere, very much style with substance.
“I hope the restaurant will become the go to place for family celebrations, special occasions, and date nights, which will be as much about the atmosphere and warm welcome as it is about the food.”
He continued: “Remmy’s sweet treats that we serve at the end of the supper club have often outshone my four-course creation, and so I also hope the coffee-shop/afternoon tea aspect to the restaurant will take off too.
“With a wood-burning stove and comfortable chairs this winter in Rothwell could be a fantastic place to be.”
The restaurant, named after Simon’s newborn daughter Dylan Bay, will open on Saturday, November 19.
