Flypay signs up another household name for its digital platform
London-based tech firm Flypay has announced a new partnership with restaurant group Nando’s to help the international brand streamline its digital ordering processes.
The partnership, which will initially see the startup working with Nando’s on its online ordering service, is described by Flypay chief executive, Tom Weaver, as a ‘strategic partnership’ that deepen over time.
As part of the partnership, Nando’s technology partners will eventually be integrated into Flypay’s Flyt platform, which aims to streamline order management by linking online order systems with the electronic point of sale (EPOS) systems used in participating restaurants.
The agreement follows a similar arrangement with Deliveroo, which was announced at the end of September.
Commenting on the new partnership, Weaver said: “We are beginning by integrating digital customer orders – but this is only the beginning of the Nando’s and Flypay journey.
“It’s a strategic partnership which will continue to develop and build over time, working together to create the ultimate digital brand experience for Nando’s customers. Ultimately our joint goal is to create a world class digital experience that goes well beyond anything out there right now.”
Flypay is one of the hottest tipped startups in the hospitality technology space, having received backing from major brands including Time Out and Just Eat.
