New recruits on the march

The rapid expansion of the North East developer this year has created over 20 new jobs and the latest recruits are five new faces in the sales team.

Galliford Try Partnerships North plans to build 196 properties – up 100 on the previous year – and start work on five new sites.

And the new starters – Gill Carter, Lynn Grant, Kim Mains, Joanna Taylor and Matthew Ward - will be selling homes on these developments through the Linden Homes brand in Birtley, Gateshead, Morpeth, Ponteland and Thirsk.

Said Stephen McCoy, Managing Director with Galliford Try Partnerships North: “This looks set to be a transformational year for us, as we take on new people to deliver more homes right across the region. As we grow and establish ourselves we clearly need to bring in the skills which will help us succeed and so we welcome the new recruits to the sales team.

“We have also been selected for development frameworks involving projects worth over £60 million and within the next few weeks, hope to be on sites in Blyth, Chester-le-Street and Killingworth, with projects worth almost £16 million that will deliver 104 new homes. These are exciting times for the business in this region and we look forward to further growth and job creation.”

Galliford Try Partnerships North, which is based at Great Park, Newcastle, began using the Linden Homes brand in the region in 2011 with just two sites at Corbridge and Howden-le-Wear.

Involvement with the Gateshead Regeneration Partnership, established to provide 2,400 new homes on 19 sites across the borough, is further boosting Linden Homes’ growing profile in the North East.

Some of the UK’s leading residential architects were commissioned to deliver striking and innovative homes, many of which will be unique to the developments on which they are built.

The partnership, which involves Galliford Try Partnerships, Gateshead Council and Home Group, secured the best Public / Private Partnership Award from the Local Government Chronicle and was declared one of the country’s top five joint ventures by Inside Housing. It was also recently short listed for the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Awards in the North East.
