Liverpool's Orrell Park Hotel hits the market with a £675k price tag

Orrell Park Hotel in Liverpool, which was acquired by Mark and Susan Jameson in 2013, is hitting the market.

Although the property was closed and run down when the Jameson’s purchased it, Mark renovated and eventually reopened the hotel.

Mark, who has previous experience in the construction industry, commented: “In a way, this was a leap of faith as we had never operated in the leisure industry.

“I have a background in the construction industry and following redundancy decided to try something different.”

The Jameson’s are now looking to sell the premises and have instructed Lesley Watmough of leisure property specialists Fleurets to bring it to market. The property’s freehold and contents is offered off a guide price of £675k.

Lesley Watmough said: “The hotel has been there since 1970 and is quite well known in the city. After the refurbishment, the hotel’s trade increased immediately.”

The premises, which is located only 3 miles from the city centre in Aintree, recieves trade from Aintree Racecourse as well as Liverpool and Everton fans.

Due to the central location the hotel also hosts tourists and commercial business visitors.

Susan added: “We are also ideally located for visitors to Aintree University Hospital and Walton Centre.

“As we have a family we have chosen to mainly focus on the Bed & Breakfast trade and do not provide evening meals.

“However, we do operate a bar and the function facility has become extremely popular in the local community. We are now running at approximately one function a week. However, there is an opportunity to expand under new ownership.”
