Bond Dickinson welcomes new apprentices
The Plymouth office of national law firm Bond Dickinson LLP has announced that it is recruiting a further three legal apprentices. The new recruits will start in September 2017, joining the 180-strong team based in Plymouth.
The announcement follows the firm being awarded the CILEx Employer of the Year Award last month. In October it also won the Newcomer Award for the South West region in the National Apprenticeship Awards and has been put forward to the national final.
The largest law firm in Plymouth, Bond Dickinson was amongst the first in the legal profession to make legal apprenticeships available, with the first apprentices joining the business in 2014. This will be the firm’s fourth cohort, with three apprentices having been recruited in each year since the launch of the programme. Training will be delivered by CILEx Law School.
Craig Moore, Partner and Head of Bond Dickinson’s Plymouth office, said: “We currently have seven legal apprentices across the business and apprentices from the first and second intakes have already completed their programmes and are now established fee earners in the firm. The apprenticeship programme and our partnership with CILEx Law School have proved to be an excellent formula for recruiting and retaining young talent.”
Jenny Pelling, Director of Business and Apprenticeships at CILEx Law School, added: “We are delighted that Bond Dickinson is recruiting for a fourth intake of legal apprentices. There is no better way to prove the effectiveness of the programme than to continue to invest in it.”
Bond Dickinson provides legal services across a wide range of sectors including energy, manufacturing, financial services, insurance, retail, insurance, transport and private wealth. It has seven offices nationally, with a strong presence in the South in Plymouth, Bristol and Southampton.
