Entrepreneurial siblings launch nightlife app following £500k seed funding
A new app aiming to be a ‘companion for the night’ for London’s revellers has launched today on the back of £500k in seed funding.
The Nightset app, devised by Anna Frankowska and Andrzej Frankowski, allows users to locate the best parties in the city, book events and guest lists, and boasts social features such as live broadcasting, photos and videos.
The platform also gives venues the chance to communicate and promote nights directly to users while providing them with real-time content curation and analytics.
Ex-investment banker and economics graduate Anna believes that the app will help reconnect partygoers and bring much needed innovation to the £66bn per year nightlife economy.
She said: “There is an increasing disconnection felt by city dwellers, and this division of the leisure sector is long overdue a tech revolution.
“For partygoers in this hyper-connected age, information on nights out is often all too static, and therefore not representative of reality. We enable partygoers to find the best party on a particular night – as defined by their peers on the app.”
Coinciding with the launch, the startup has drawn £500k seed investment from angel investors and a shareholder member of the Bacardi family.
Launching on iOS in London initially, other cities and operating systems are set to follow in 2017.
