Local football club nets sponsorship with leading housebuilder
BlythFC is looking good thanks to kit sponsorship from Miller Homes North East during its first season in the Northern Football Alliance League following promotion acceptance.
The team which plays its home games at Cowpen Park, near to Miller Homes’ Portland Wynd development in Blyth, was able to fund full kits for the whole team thanks to the £500 sponsorship donation.
Andrew Somerville, regional sales manager at Miller Homes North East, said: “Local sports teams and clubs are so important for communities and we understand how funds can often be tight.
“We are committed to creating sustainable communities and as a nearby football club to our Portland Wynd development, we were more than happy to support Blyth FC with sponsorship funds to provide the team with new kits for the 2016/2017 season. We wish them the best of luck in the Northern Football Alliance League.”
Nathan Parr, club secretary at Blyth FC, said: “If it wasn’t for companies like Miller Homes sponsoring local sports teams and clubs like ours, we simply wouldn’t be able to operate and do what we love, so on behalf of the club I’d like to say a big thank you to Miller Homes North East – our new kits look great.”
Portland Wynd is a development of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, with prices starting from £125,950*. For more information call 03300 294 295 or visit http://www.millerhomes.co.uk/new-homes/north-east/portland-wynd-blyth.aspx.
