Together named as Best Bridging Lender

Together, the specialist lender, has been named Best Bridging Lender at the annual Your Mortgage Awards, widely regarded as the UK’s definitive consumer mortgage awards, which recognise and reward lenders that have offered the very best products and services to mortgage borrowers.

Together offers bridging finance as part of its wide range of products which include auction finance, residential, commercial and buy-to-let mortgages and secured loans, and its products are available to borrowers across mainland UK, primarily through brokers and financial advisers.

In the past year, Together has enjoyed strong demand for its bridging loans, with total lending for bridging finance reaching £586.8 million for the 12 months to 30 June 2016; an increase of almost 40 per cent on the previous year.

“The most common use of bridging loans is for mortgage delays, with industry reports putting this at around a third of all use, so very often a bridging loan can save a property chain and mean that buyers are able to obtain the property they want. In the current property market, where demand outstrips supply, there’s a strong need for this kind of finance.
