Adtech startup raises seven-figure seed round following launch in the summer
Appsumer, the user acquisition intelligence platform, has raised $1m in seed funding in a round led by Galvanise Capital.
The startup, which only officially launched in the summer, was founded by experienced mobile advertiser Shumel Lais, and provides brands with a way to monitor and forecast their paid media campaigns through its analytics platform.
The funding from business angel syndicate Galvanise Capital, has drawn on some big name investors including M&C Saatchi Mobile Chief Executive James Hilton and Havas Work Club Chairman Jon Claydon.
Giving clients oversight across all mobile media sources, Appsumer’s platform visualises and pulls together data to help businesses improve their user acquisition and make decisions on user acquisition opportunities.
Nick Jones, Managing Partner at Galvanise, said: “Lais and his team are user acquisition rock stars and have created powerful technology that is empowering brands to spend smart and grow faster.
“We’re excited by their ambitious plans to innovate this market and are confident Appsumer will be widely deployed by major consumer app brands globally.”
According to the Fitzrovia-based startup, the funding boost will be invested in its research and development efforts to grow its platform and enhance its product offering.
