Tom Kerridge to open first London restaurant in 2017
Michelin-starred TV chef Tom Kerridge is set to finally open a restaurant in London after it was announced he is to helm a new eatery at a high-end Knightsbridge hotel.
The chef is to launch a new standalone restaurant at the five-star Jumeirah Carlton Tower on the site of its current Rib Room Bar and Restaurant, which is set to close in early 2017 to make way for Kerridge and his team.
The space will then undergo a complete renovation before reopening sometime next year, making it the chef’s third restaurant following his two-Michelin-starred Hand and Flowers pub in Marlow and the Coach in Marlow, both in Buckinghamshire.
Current plans for the size, name and style of food that will be served up in Kerridge’s new restaurant are yet to be announcement, but the hotel has said it will reveal more in the new year.
The hotel’s General Manager, Katie Benson, commented: “Tom is one of the country’s top culinary talents and we are delighted to be working with him and his team to create London’s most exciting new restaurant next year.”
Kerridge added: “We are thrilled and honoured to be opening in London at this landmark location in Knightsbridge and we will be revealing more details on our plans early next year.”
