Clarke Willmott adds experienced partner to Birmingham office

Birmingham law firm Clarke Willmott LLP has announced the recruitment of new partner John Irving, formerly a commercial partner at Sydney Mitchell.

John joined Sydney Mitchell in 2009 and has been largely credited with building the firm’s commercial offering to the point of being shortlisted as Corporate Team of the Year by Birmingham Law Society in 2016.

John said: “I am very excited to have the opportunity presented by my move. Clarke Willmott has a first class, national reputation and gives me an excellent platform from which to expand my national and international commercial work.

“The breadth of other expertise on which I and my clients will now be able to call is extremely impressive.”

John Irving will be based in the Edmund Street, Birmingham office of Clarke Willmott.
