Explore Learning named 14th Best Place to Work
Tuition provider, Explore Learning, has been honoured with a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award, recognising the Best Places to Work in 2017. The Employees’ Choice Awards program is now in its ninth year, via Glassdoor®.
This comes in a winning four weeks for Explore Learning after being crowned the ‘Private tuition operator of the year’ in the prestigious EducationInvestor Awards.
Bill Mills, CEO and Founder of Explore Learning said: “We are so thrilled to be ending 2016 on such a high. Winning a Glassdoor award is a massive accolade for us as it has been voted for purely by the staff – which is wonderful to hear they are enjoying working here as much as the children are enjoying being tutored! We have introduced a number of schemes to encourage training and development and employee engagement – with a particular focus on our millennial workforce and it’s fantastic to see these have been so well received.”
On Glassdoor, current and former employees of companies worldwide can share insights and opinions about their work environments by sharing a company review, designed to capture a genuine and authentic inside look at what it’s like to work at particular jobs and companies. When sharing a company review on Glassdoor, employees are asked to rate their satisfaction with the company overall, and key workplace factors like career opportunities, compensation, benefits, work/life balance, senior management, as well as culture and values. In addition, employees are asked to describe the best reasons to work at their companies as well as any downsides.
Robert Hohman, Glassdoor CEO and co-founder says: Company culture and the employee experience are critical considerations for job seekers everywhere when deciding where to work. To help, the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards recognise companies that truly stand out as Best Places to Work because they’re purely determined by the authentic voice of those who really know a company best - the employees.
“Employers where employees love to work continue to prove that they have a recruiting and business performance edge. We’re proud to celebrate the 2017 Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards winners in earning this incredible achievement.”
The Best Places to Work are determined using company reviews shared by UK-based employees between November 2, 2015 and October 30, 2016. To be considered for the UK category, a company must have at least 1,000 employees and received at least 30 company reviews from UK-based employees during the period of eligibility. The final list is compiled based on Glassdoor’s proprietary algorithm, and takes into account quantity, quality and consistency of reviews.
