Primary School Choir delights Tarleton with Christmas Carols

It may have rained on the night, but spirits weren’t dampened when pupils at Holy Trinity Primary School in Tarleton treated residents at a new homes development in the village to their very own private Christmas carol concert.

Five Star housebuilder Barratt Homes’ invited the school choir to take part in festive fun at its canal-side Tarleton Lock development, located on Plox Brow. Residents enjoyed mince pies and Christmas punch whilst listening to a medley of their favourite carols.

As a thank you to the young choristers, Barratt Manchester will donate £150.00 to the school, and has also promised to invite pupils back for a VIP site visit in the Spring.

Commenting on the event, Barratt Manchester Sales Director, Michaela Lancaster, said:

“This was a wonderful way to celebrate with our new residents, who are the heart and soul of the community here at Tarleton Lock. For many families, this is their first Christmas at the development, and we wanted to make it extra special.

“We’re very grateful to the school for lending us their wonderful choir, which performed superbly, despite the damp weather conditions.”

Holy Trinity Primary School Headteacher, Stephen Smith said: “We were delighted to get involved in the event, which gave us an opportunity to showcase our fantastic choir. We hope everyone enjoyed listening to the carols as much as we enjoyed singing them!”
