LCF Law Toasts Its Charity Success

BIG hearted lawyers across LCF Law’s four offices have raised a combined total of £4,146 for a number of leading charities over the last 12 months.

The firm’s Ilkley office has donated hundreds of pounds to the town’s community café, Outside the Box. The charity and social enterprise opened in 2013 and enables adults and young people with learning disabilities to lead more independent and fulfilled lives by providing work experience and training.

LCF Law’s Leeds office has raised money throughout the year for Leeds Community Foundation which invests in and distributes grants to thousands of charities and voluntary groups across Leeds.

In Bradford, the team supported Marie Curie’s Bradford hospice which offers specialist care for people living with a terminal illness and support for their families. The Bradford hospice, which is located on Maudsley Street, runs an in-patient unit with 16 beds, a fully-equipped day service department and it also offers certain services in patients’ homes.

The firm’s Harrogate office, known as LCF Barber Titleys, raised money for The Carers’ Resource. The Yorkshire based charity offers tailored support and information to unpaid carers and vulnerable people throughout the Harrogate, Ripon, Bradford, Airedale and Craven districts of Yorkshire.

Simon Stell, Managing Partner at LCF Law, says: “Every year each of our offices choose a local charity to support and we are delighted to have raised this impressive sum during 2016.

“The money has been raised from the token payments we receive when we swear oaths and certify copy documents, as well as by members of the team raising money through sponsorship, donations made instead of Christmas cards, cake sales and a whole host of other fundraising initiatives, and we’re already looking forward to building on this success next year.”

LCF Law is a leading commercial law firm that works with both businesses and private individuals. The long-established firm employs more than 120 people across offices in Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate and Ilkley.
