The Fragrance Shop makes Oxford Street debut

The Fragrance Shop, the UK’s largest independent fragrance retailer, is making its first foray onto London’s Oxford Street with the launch of a new showcase store.

Located at 50 Oxford Street, the store has 559 sq ft of available retail space and carries a range of fragrance lines including brands such as Chanel, Dior, Juicy Couture, Moschino, BVLGARI, Prada, Mugler, Dunhill, Elie Saab . This latest launch takes the Manchester-headquartered retailer up to 183 UK stores, with plans to hit 200 stores in 2017.

The store opening firmly cements The Fragrance Shop’s position as the leading fragrance retailer in the UK, across both its physical retail assets, and an online presence which has grown over 35% year on year. Oxford Street remains Europe’s busiest shopping street with over 300 retail outlets across its 1.2 mile length, and welcomes around half a million shoppers every day.

Sanjay Vadera, CEO of The Fragrance Shop, commented: “Following a successful period of growth for The Fragrance Shop, the opening of our Oxford Street store marks a huge milestone for us as we grow our presence nationwide. Oxford Street attracts around 200 million visitors a year, and we have been working hard to establish our footprint in such a busy area before the key Christmas trading period.”

Michelle Edmondson, Retail Director added: “We’re delighted to open our Oxford Street store this December, taking our retail estate up to 183 stores nationwide. Benefiting from local residents, tourists and commuters, our expertly trained staff are on hand to offer new and returning customers our great fragrance promotions all year round. Coupled with our award winning service, we have over 120 lines available in-store, and many more available through our free click and collect and order in-store services. Spray a little happiness at The Fragrance Shop now.”

Alesha Dixon officially opened the store on Tuesday 6th December at 2.30pm.
