Nomensa Looks To Build On Record Year

Experience design agency Nomensa is looking to maximise on another successful 12 months following key client wins, better than ever rankings in this year’s industry listings, the opening of its first international office and another outstanding year at both of its flagship conferences.

The strategic UX agency is looking to bigger things in 2017 following unprecedented rankings in the 2016 Econsultancy top 100 and The Drum’s Digital Census, a record turnout at its Collaborate conference this autumn, the opening of its Amsterdam office this March and achieving an Investors in People (IiP) Gold Standard award.

The company’s annual Interact conference, held at London’s British Museum in October, also saw delegates and speakers from across the globe unite for discussions around the future course of design which attracted delegates from giants such as Google, Sainsbury’s, LEGO, ASOS, HSBC, Uber and more.

Combining expertise in psychology, interaction design and technology, Nomensa now works across offices in Bristol, London and Amsterdam to transform digital experiences for a range of clients including Virgin Media, Liberty Global, Royal Mail and National Trust.

In 2016 the company also climbed 22 places from 97 to number 75 in the Econsultancy Top 100 list and came 17th in The Drum’s Digital Census, nine places up from its 28th placing in 2015. Nomensa’s annual Collaborate conference, held at the Bristol Aquarium, also noted its largest ever turnout across its three-year history this November with over 300 delegates from agencies, brands and academic institutions in attendance.

With industry developments a focus both at Collaborate and Interact 2016, the purpose of both conferences has always been to support growth and knowledge sharing amongst the UX community at all stages.

Featuring talks from industry experts including Usman Sheikh, Global Head of Design and Experimentation at Barclaycard Future Payments, Capital One UK Head of Design Aline Baeck and Design Swarm’s Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino, both events covered topics including the significance of neurology, psychology and cognitive neuroscience within the digital world, the future of fintech and CX, artificial intelligence, VR and much more.

The two conferences proved very popular on social media, with Interact and Collaborate both trending on Twitter – Interact nationally - with a reach of 2.6 million and 6.3 million, respectively.
