Flybe’s winter snow flights take off from Manchester

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has started operating the first of two brand new ski routes from Manchester Airport with the inaugural flight this past weekend (Sunday 18th December 2016) of its weekly Saturday service to Innsbruck, with new Sunday flights to Chambery starting on 8th January, 2017.

The airline also offers a choice of other ski friendly destinations from Manchester to Lyon, Milan Malpensa and Toulouse. Tickets are available for booking at www.flybe.com from £24.99 one way, including taxes and charges.

As part of its extensive 2016-17 Winter schedule from Manchester, Flybe will also be operating flights to Nantes between 18th December and 3rd January.

Often referred to as the ‘Capital of the Alps’, Innsbruck is an internationally-renowned winter sports destination. The Austrian city sits in the Inn valley and has hosted two Winter Olympics and two Winter Paralympics, Innsbruck is no stranger to world-class snow sports and by flying direct, passengers can be on Austrian soil just over two hours after leaving Manchester.

Chambery is the recognised gateway to over 100 top ski resorts as well as being a picture-perfect, culture-rich destination in its own right, boasting the largest collection of Italian paintings in France.

Vincent Hodder, Flybe’s Chief Revenue Officer, said: “We are pleased to kick off our winter ski routes from Manchester with the inaugural flight to Innsbruck this weekend. Flybe’s new routes this season provide ski enthusiasts in the north west direct access to some of the best ski destinations in Europe.”
