Sovini team up with Liverpool Schoolboys

The Sovini Group are delighted to announce a new partnership with the Liverpool Schools Football Association.

Sovini now sponsor the Primary Team, providing backing for the stars of the future.

A registered charity, the Schoolboys depend on sponsorship in order to develop the city’s brightest young footballing talent.

Former stars of the Primary Team include current England captain Wayne Rooney, who scored 72 goals for the team in the 95/96 season.

Steven Gerrard, Robbie Fowler (Liverpool Schoolboys all-time top scorer) and Steve McManaman are also among the illustrious list of names to have represented the team.

The funding contributes to football kits, training apparel and transport for the team.

Paul Gow, Under 11’s Primary City Team Manager, said: “The Liverpool Schools FA began nearly 100 years ago and it is thanks to the support of organisations such as Sovini that we are able to sustain the team for future generations. The funding is invaluable to us and will enable the boys to enjoy an unforgettable experience whist having the honour of representing their city.”

The Sovini Group Chief Executive Roy Williams said: “Across The Sovini Group we work with a number of local charity partners in support of our local communities. The Schoolboys have a fantastic reputation for nurturing local talent and we are proud to be doing our bit to help bring on the next Rooney or Fowler.”
