Saturday Surgery for Start Ups

If there’s one New Year’s resolution owners of start ups should make sure they follow through with, it’s to attend a specialist surgery designed specifically for them.

Award-winning 360 Chartered Accountants know firsthand how difficult it is to build a successful business, having been a start up themselves just 6 years ago. They now want to pass on that knowledge to all entrepreneurs.

Andy Steele, Founder and Director of Hull and East Yorkshire-based 360, said:

“Most accountants claim to be experts in helping business start ups but, before engaging one to help you start and grow your business, you should ask them one simple question – when did they last launch a successful business?

“We understand the long hours, the difficulties in finding and keeping quality staff, marketing the business, managing the cash flow and all the red tape. The list is never ending. We can also introduce entrepreneurs to our new 360 Mentor scheme, which provides support and guidance on a more regular basis.”

Trained chef Jon Collins, from Cocoa Chocolatier and Patisserie, in Hull’s Trinity Indoor Market, has been a client of 360’s since he first decided to go out on his own in 2015. He said:

“As with any new business the right ingredients are key! We’ve grown with the help, knowledge and support from 360 accountants over the last few years. They have guided us with their in-depth advice and have always been there whenever we have needed them. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing they are part of my business and part of the cocoa family!”

The 360 “Saturday Morning Surgery” will take place on Saturday 7th January 2017 at 360’s headquarters on Albion Street in Hull. Experts will be on hand to discuss all of the usual aspects of setting up a business including which legal entity to choose (limited company, traditional partnership, sole trader etc), registering with the necessary authorities, bookkeeping, tax and insurance requirements.

But unlike most accountants they are also happy to give guidance on IT, marketing, networking, social media, time management and recruitment. There’s no need to make an appointment. Anyone wanting to pop in for a chat and a croissant can simply drop by between 9am and 12 noon.
