Physiotherapy Matters reports turnover hike in tenth year

Newcastle-based physiotherapy practice Physiotherapy Matters has celebrated its tenth year in business by announcing a 22% increase in turnover on last year.

The company, which was founded in November 2006 and has clinics in Newcastle city centre, Gosforth and Ponteland, also saw its number of patient appointments grow by more than 25%. Moreover, the company enjoyed substantial growth in the private clinic from self-pay clients, with turnover in 2016 from this area increasing by 35%.

Since its inception in November 2006, the company has experienced yearly growth, with staff levels rising from one to 14 and patient numbers increasingly dramatically from four patients a week in 2006 to more than 200 a week in 2016.

Neeraj Nayyar, managing director of Physiotherapy Matters, said: “We are delighted that we have seen the business grow substantially in our tenth anniversary year and expanded our presence in the corporate market.

“More and more companies are realising that there are major benefits of offering enhanced wellbeing and healthcare services to their staff, and Physiotherapy Matters has been able to support many businesses through activities such as drop-in clinics, tailored staff exercise programmes and advice sessions.

“Our work over the past decade has seen us treat more than 50,000 patients, hold more than 300,000 appointments, partner with some innovative companies and expand both our premises and highly-qualified team.

“We provide our customers with the highest quality treatments and therapies, and the introduction of the ESWT highlights our dedication to staying at the forefront of pioneering therapies.

“We’d like to thank our clients for their fantastic support and we’re looking forward to what the next decade in business has in store for Physiotherapy Matters.”
