68 new jobs created at PKF Cooper Parry
Just weeks after announcing its strongest ever financial year, Midlands-based PKF Cooper Parry has made 68 new appointments across its two Midlands offices, taking the total number of new jobs created over the past twelve months into three figures.
The firm is the fastest growing firm of accountants in the UK and is enjoying an unprecedented number of new client wins. It has now boosted its already expanding team with the appointment of a further 68 experienced team members ahead of another planned period of growth.
The biggest area of growth has been in the audit team. 43 new team members have been recruited across the Midlands, with additions to the audit, pensions and financial outsourcing teams.
Appointments have been made across all teams in the West Midlands. Experienced deal-maker Phil Hinson has joined the team as director of corporate finance.
Further appointments have been made across the restructuring, wealth, corporate finance, service charge and IT solutions teams. The firm’s internal support teams have received a boost too, with new appointments to its people team and administration and payroll teams.
To support its ambitious plans, the leadership team has also been strengthened. Whilst continuing as chairman, Jeremy Bowler has taken on a new role of head of client services.
Fiona Holland joins the firm as new head of sales and marketing from Gateleys Plc. Fiona has a wealth of experience in developing new business and leading creative campaigns.
April Bembridge has joined the firm as head of people, with a new head of finance set to be announced shortly.
These latest appointments take the number of new posts created this year to 110 and keep the firm on target to exceed its target turnover of £30m for this financial year and double its market share in the West Midlands in the next two years.
Commenting on the firm’s rapid growth, CEO Ade Cheatham said:
“Our business continues to grow like crazy across all areas and this latest round of appointments now gives us over 400 passionate, dedicated people, who will drive the business forward over the next 12 months.
“Our unique culture and working environment enables us to recruit the highest calibre of people. We have a really talented team around us, which will enable us achieve our long term aim of creating a £45m turnover firm within the next three years, reaching £150m within the next 10 years.”
PKF Cooper Parry is now the number one accountancy firm in the East Midlands amongst privately owned £5m to £50m businesses and has more than twice the market share of any of its competitors. It aims to double its market share in the West Midlands in the next two years.
Over the past 12 months, the firm has been credited with a number of awards, and was the only accountancy firm to make the Sunday Times List of 100 Best Small Companies to Work for.
The firm recently scooped the Most Innovative Practice of the Year - Mid-tier firm award at The British Accountancy Awards 2016.
