A Cumberlidge puts a spring in flooring
Dinnington-based floor and wall covering specialists, A Cumberlidge, have fitted a sports-specific flooring system in the exercise studio of the recently opened Thorncliffe Health & Leisure Centre in High Green, Sheffield.
Explains Damian Bradley, project manager for A Cumberlidge: “The client had specified Junckers Sylvasport Premium boards on the New Era UnoBat cradle system which utilises a press-dried beech board on an undercarriage system enabling it to be installed to an uneven sub-floor.
“It’s the very first time we’ve ever fitted this particular system and we used the SylvaSport Premium board, which is 100% solid hardwood throughout, and is able to withstand exceptional loadings making it ideal for a fitness studio.”
Continues Damian: “We worked with a block and beam concrete substrate and fitted a total of 162 square metres of the flooring using the Junckers New Era UnoBat cradle system, a system which takes away the need to screed the floor level and provides a faster and more cost effective method of installation for uneven sub floors.
“The finished result not only looks great but it is entirely fit for purpose and carries a 25 year warranty from Junckers.”
