Clarke Willmott corporate team pull off Christmas miracle
The corporate team within the Southampton office of national law firm Clarke Willmott LLP is celebrating after successfully completing an international deal in just two weeks.
Partner Kelvin Balmont and the team worked on behalf of client Spend 360 International on the disposal of the company’s business to US-based NASDAQ listed buyer, Coupa Software Inc.
With international clients including HSBC, Nissan, BAE Systems, Britvic and the BBC, Spend360 International is an Artificial Intelligence Procurement Software provider based in Guildford.
Kelvin Balmont, who heads up Clarke Willmott’s corporate team in Southampton, said: “Following a recommendation from their accountants, Spend360 International and its executive team contacted us on 15th December.
“The prerequisite to us being instructed was that we could complete the deal before the end of the year and so the team worked over the Christmas period and managed to successfully complete on the 30th December. “It was an exciting deal to work on with only two weeks to complete from the date we were instructed. All parties worked hard to achieve the challenging timetable and I’m very pleased we were successful.”
Clarke Willmott LLP is a national law firm with seven offices across the country, including Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton.
