Beat the January blues in style
intu Metrocentre and Kuoni are offering visitors the chance to swap the January blues for sapphire skies and sparkling azure seas with a free competition to win a luxury holiday to tropical Mauritius.
The lucky winner will kick start the new year in style with a fabulous seven night break for two people, including buffet breakfast and evening meal, to the beautiful Solana Beach Hotel in Mauritius.
The resort is exclusive to Kuoni in the UK and effortlessly fuses the natural beauty of the Belle Mare region with a cool contemporary design. Live cooking stations in the Cinnamone Restaurant offer a wide range to suit all tastes including delicious Mauritian dishes which are an intoxicating blend of Chinese, European and Indian influences.
Shoppers can enter the competition at a fun airport themed Check-In Desk from 16 January. Special boarding pass entry forms can also be picked up from Customer Services Desks until the competition closes on 17 February.
Gavin Prior, general manager of intu Metrocentre, jumped at the chance to launch the competition by re-creating an iconic scene featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and air stewardesses from the movie Catch Me If You Can.
Gavin said:
“After the indulgences of the festive season getting back to a normal routine can seem like a shock to the system!
By mid January, people are definitely in need of a lift so intu Metrocentre and Kuoni are working together to provide a tantalising departure from day-to-day life. This fantastic competition will give one lucky couple a luxurious holiday to remember on one of the world’s most beautiful paradise islands.“
Laura Robertson, Store Manager, Kuoni at intu Metrocentre, added:
“Solana Beach Hotel is the perfect relaxation spot - a tranquil Mauritian retreat set amid coconut palms with lush gardens sloping down to a beautiful long stretch of beach and turquoise sea.
Whether the lucky winners are sampling the gourmet delights on offer, sipping a fruit punch by the ocean or taking advantage of the free water-sports – they are sure to return refreshed and revived.“
