Reality HR Nominates Cancer Charity for 2017
Basingstoke-based HR Consultancy, Reality HR, has nominated the Gynaecological Cancer Fund to support throughout 2017. The fund is committed to raising £750,000 over three years for research into new targeted treatments for gynaecological cancer and has already raised £500,000.
The charity is particularly close to the hearts of the Reality HR team as one of its members, Kate Scott, was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer early in 2016. Her treatment is ongoing and she has recently become a patient of Dr Susana Banerjee, who is leading the research at The Royal Marsden in London. Having received chemotherapy treatment, Kate recognises first-hand the importance of new research, clinical trials and a personalised approach to treatment.
In the run up to Christmas, Reality HR made an excellent start to supporting the charity by raising £1,256 from a Christmas raffle and is planning to hold a variety of regular events throughout the year.
Reality HR’s Chief Operations Officer, Sally-Ann Hall-Jones, who has been actively involved in arranging the support for the charity, explains: “I was delighted with the response we received to the raffle at Christmas and, hopefully, we can maintain this interest for the events that we hold during 2017. The Reality HR team are all keen to support Kate as her treatment progresses and we are all very aware of the great work that the charity is doing, which could also benefit the treatment of other cancers.”
Reality HR was formed in 2004 and now employs 16 HR professionals who provide a complete outsourced HR function to over 90 businesses across the South. For more information, please refer to www.realityhr.co.uk . Ends
