Step inside Manchester Airport’s upcoming £1.6m lounge
Manchester Airport has revealed plans to invest £1.6m in a new brand of lounge at Terminal Three.
The adult-only space, named 1903 after the year of the first Wright Brothers’ flight, will provide a more premium offering for up to 71 passengers.
Boasting views of the airfield, the lounge will have its own chef cooking up seasonal dishes with ingredients sourced locally.
1903 users will also have access to Fast Track security and free Wi-Fi.
Manchester Airport CEO Ken O’Toole said: “We’re looking forward to the launch of 1903 in Terminal Three.
“It’s in a prime location and will offer passengers a real slice of luxury before their flight.”
He added: “We continually listen to the needs of our passengers and 1903 offers something different from our existing airport lounges.”

Manchester Airports Group’s executive vice president of business development and lounges, Beth Brewster, commented: “1903 at Manchester Airport will be our flagship lounge for the brand and will provide passengers travelling through Terminal Three with the opportunity to begin their travel in the most enjoyable and relaxing manner possible.
“We expect to roll the brand out in due course to our other airports.”
Manchester-based Gariff Construction Ltd has been appointed as the project’s lead contractor.
