Everything is my Design Hooks Up With Sunderland Uni For Apprenticeships Drive

One of the North East’s newly emerging creative agencies has collaborated with University of Sunderland on the brand and materials for its pioneering Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, launched at an event attended by HRH The Duke of York.

Created by the University of Sunderland in response to the Government’s wish to create three million apprentices by 2020, the Higher and Degree Apprenticeships will allow businesses to transform their performance by enhancing the skills of existing employees as well as attracting fresh talent.

HRH The Duke of York recently launched the new programme at an event held in the University of Sunderland’s Sciences Complex and design and communications agency Everything is my Design created the initiative’s marketing and branding, which was on prominent display.

Everything is my Design were approached by the University to create a strong visual personality for the new initiative, to support its bid to engage employers in its apprenticeship offer.

Everything is my Design Managing Director, Mark Dawson explained: “Working with the University to raise awareness of Higher and Degree Apprenticeships has been a real pleasure. We needed to create an overarching style, tone of voice and visual personality that appeals to employers across a wide range of sectors.

“That visual personality was implemented across a range of multimedia applications including printed collateral, digital mailshots, the University website, event and campaign materials and many other items.

“We hope that we’ve helped make it clearer for employers the many tangible benefits of investing in not just Higher and Degree Apprenticeships but the unique knowledge and expertise the University of Sunderland can offer.”

According to Mark, the route developed by Everything is my Design needed to be dynamic, engaging, concise and energetic and included elements of bespoke animation, typography and a clear tone of voice that will establish the University of Sunderland as a leading authority for Degree and Higher Level Apprenticeships in the UK education market.

The university is one of only 18 universities in the UK chosen to receive Government funding to support its drive to increase apprenticeships across the country.

Local businesses attended the launch to discover the benefits of this new model and see how they can work with the University of Sunderland to recruit the workforce of the future.

Meanwhile, Everything is my Design have reported a solid year of growth in 2016 and has set its sights on expansion throughout the UK.

“2016 was a real defining year for us,” added Mark Dawson. We began 2016 with a desire to grow our offering and provide more value for clients. We feel we have a greater ability to show clients exactly what we do with their budgets and why and we’re looking forward to expanding our reach throughout the UK.

“Our involvement in the Generator Growth Pipeline scheme was a highlight of the later part of the year. The help and support our consultants are providing has proved incredibly timely to help us manage a much-increased workload and to help us plan the strategic focus and growth of Everything is my Design.”
